Kristin's Loot!

Here's a little bit to share with you!

Happy Halloween Indeed!!!

Since Jenna and Kristin have been sick this week, Halloween was brief but fun!

The girls manage to go outside for about an hour, went around the neighborhood with Bridget and came home to count their loot!!!

One of the first group to stop at our house tonight was an older girl dressed as a bumblebee so she and Kristin posed for a pciture.

Here's the rest of our cutie pies smiling for their Daddy!

Growing and Getting Stronger!!

Beanie had a fun time trying and practicing everything she could at the park this weekend. T was great at encouraging her and very attentive to her safety. We had alot of fun together, now we just need someone to do the laundry and wash the dishes, because I'm exhausted!!

Fun on a Fabulous Fall Weekend

We spent alot of time outside in the park or at the playground this weekend!

It's been a busy, fun, tiring weekend with K our busy little monkey and very nimble at climbing!! Kids had a blast with cousins who dote on them endlessly during their visits.

This a private blog with access by invitation only. I have two great videos of J and K. One is at the very bottom of the photos in this post. It's the little blue box with a question mark between the last few photos. I'll try to get the second one ready and post it maybe tomorrow. Hope you had a good day in the desert!

Never Too Young For a Paper Gown!

A lifetime of paper gowns awaits these little girls!!! I was very surprised when the nursing assistant handed us two paper gowns and told us to put them on with opening facing the back. Really do 3 and 4 year olds need to be subjected to the humilitation of paper examine gowns! For about 5-10 minutes the girls tried to maunever around the table with the crinkling sounds of the paper table sheet and paper gowns, looking unsure why they were wearing them and what they were, I decided to free them from the discomfort and put them back in their shirts and waiting for the doctor to arrive!

Beanie and Bippie each had a turn getting their hearing and eyes tested. Not to mention height and weight. Both are growing slowly but steadily into healthy, well adjusted young ladies or as Beanie would say LAD DEES.

Our peds has a fun land type mirror in his office and boy did J & K have fun passing the wait fooling around with the mirror!

First Attempt at Blogging

Getting Started is always a challenge but it is my hope to chroncile some of what life throws at me and how I choose to deal with it --both the good and the bad!!!

Motivation to Start a Blog...FINALLY!!

I've been thinking that someone might want to do some research on the changing role of parenting in the 21st century. Since we are two parents over 50, working at getting through day to day, raising two little ones while maintaining a somewhat normal relationships with our grown children.

Ms Beanie, our Guangdong Girl, is a busy, active four year old with occasional night terrors and late bedtime schedule with the brightest smile in the whole wide world. Little Ms. Bippie has a very, even keeled personality which turned out to be a great asset to our family. At three, she is an easy going, lively little sweetheart!!

Our grown children are both finished college, one is married and a new LT in the US Army. Our other grown child is a new graduate experiencing the joys of seeking full time employment with benefits while working as an intern hoping and praying that the employment fairies will bring her good luck and great fortune!!!!! In order to respect their privacy, they will not be the focus of this blog.

My beloved and I have been together for just a little over 30 years of ups and downs, good and bad, rich and poor! It hasn't always been pretty or easy, but we are determined to live our one life together with a sense of adventure and commitment. Oh the places we have travelled . . .

Life's a journey and we are having a wonderful one in spite of our most pressing concern, extreme sleep deprivation!!!
